Last Day Of Term!

Term 1 has been a busy term for me. Performing, movie making, writing task, choir/band, softball, cricket and a whole lot more. I am proud of myself for the effort I have put into my work. I would like to thank my teachers for this term, Ms King (class teacher) Ms Muliaumaseali'i  (choir/band) Mr and Ms Va'afusuaga (sports coach) Ms Flavelle (good helper) and Mr Burt (School principal.) I've really enjoyed this term and it is now time to have a big rest.

My goals for term 2 is to keep working hard and disciplining myself. I am also looking forward to the 3 scheduled terms to come. SCHOOL IS COOL! Bye everybody and "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!"

"Fireworks!" Story Spines

(We have been playing around with Story Spines. Do you know what Story Spines are? If you are not so sure, it has to include 10 people with 10 prompts/topics. For example: I am the first person to start so that means I finish off the topic from "Once upon a time." This story (below) is the story I started with as it went on and on to my group members so they could finish off the other different sentence beginninsg. I was put into "Da Boyz!" Group and our story was about "Fireworks." Feel free to try it and leave a comment.

Hosannah: Once upon a time there lived a man who was planning to buy some fireworks for Guy-Fawkes.

Jesiah: Everyday he was trying to save up for lots of fireworks.

Anthony: But one day he got out the big firework. He was around lots of kids. He lighted the big firework and it dropped and hit a car  burnt the grass.

Neyo: Because of that he had to pay $250 to pay the threatening damage to the car and the grass.

Max: Because of that firework had destroyed the man’s and his grass, the man was not at all so he called the police.

Logan: Because of that the police came and he told them what had happened. They didn't really understand the man.

Htawara: Until finally the police arrested the man and was sentenced 500 hours community service.

Wyatt “Ever since I was in jail, I had a much calmer life.” He said.

Calvin: The moral of the story is: Safety is important with fireworks.

100 Word Story "Vivacious Key!"

(Do you remember my story about "The Car Suddenly Stopped?" This is a similar narrative but about something shiny I see and was determined to find out what it was.)

My weary eyes glanced out the window in recognition of something sparkling on my rime grass. What could it be? Slipping my gown and slippers on, I was determined to sight that scintillating flash of silver. Down the stairs, and outside into the breezy air I went. As I walked towards it, “Wow” I sighed in tiresome as it was just my house-key which I had left outside last night. It was also a “Whew” lucky me. Running back onto the stairs I went. I walked to the front door, inserted the key and “Uh-oh.” My key was stuck, “SNAP!”

Sponge-Bob and Patrick "Bellowing Waves!"

Gigantic waves bellowed over Sponge-Bob as he frighteningly surfed his heart out. “Woooo!” His surfboard slid to the other side of the water, he splashed into the deep blue sea while Patrick was spectating him. “OOOoooooooh!” Patricks lowered throat vocalised as \ he was thinking about plan.  . “Apply the sauce.” He confidently mentioned. With a certain mind, he pulled out his super glue, squirt it on his surfboard and attached his feet onto it. Into the aqua water he went. “I will not be separated from this surfboard.” Patrick aforementioned as he bravely faced his fears. Suddenly, he saw a rock that he was travelling towards. “Rock!! SEPARATE SEPARATE!!” He exclaimed. The surfboard loudly clashed into the rock................ “BOOOOWOWOWOWOWOWOWWOWOWO!!” His skeleton flicked up and all that was left on his surfboard was his defunct body skin after a dramatic idea of applying the sauce onto his surfboard. Patrick’s dead skin floated to the skeleton which was sticking upside down on the hot and crunchy sand. “I like your sandals. Thanks we’re inseparable.” They tiredly said face-to-face.

"Marlin and Dory!" Speech Marks!

Marlin sat on a smooth rock feeling depressed. Gazing down into the dark and horrifying deep sea,  Dory confidently swam towards Marlin “Hey Mr Grumpy Gills. When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do?” She  asked him with an expressively happy voice. “I don’t want to know what you gotta do!” Marlin replied carelessly.  “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming,  just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim swim!”  Dory joyfully sang while he dragged Marlyn deeper into the sea. Deeper and deeper they went, the more angry Marlin got. “Dory, No singing.” Dory didn’t care as she ignored Marlin’s words.  “I love to swim. When you want to swim.” Her annoying and repeatedly song distracted Marlin, he has had enough of it, “See I'm gonna get stuck now with that song now it’s in my head!!” He angrily shouted. “Sorry.” Dory apologized.

(We are learning to put speech marks into paragraphs. For this task, we used this video of Marlin and Dory off "Finding Nemo" as an example for our speeches. Feel free to watch the video above and and leave a comment.)
